MCA Concrete Inspector Training
**Join Us for an Essential 1-Day Concrete Inspection Class!**
Attention all Local-Agency Consultants & Testing Firms, City Engineering staff, Department of Public Works and County Inspectors
The Michigan Concrete Association is offering an 8-hour inspector training course designed specifically for city, county, and state inspectors responsible for concrete construction oversight. This program delivers a structured review of MDOT specifications and best practices, aligned with today’s quality assurance and documentation requirements.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of the inspection process from preconstruction through post-placement: mix design submittals, QA/QC documentation, grade and formwork verification, qualified product review, batch ticket evaluation, field testing limits, placement techniques (hand, slip-form, and laser screed), finishing and jointing practices, curing requirements, and acceptance criteria.
Instructors will draw on real-world project experience to highlight common pitfalls, key specification causes, and strategies inspectors can use to ensure durable, compliant concrete.
This training is targeted at inspectors seeking to elevate their technical knowledge, strengthen their decision-making in the field, and improve project outcomes. Attendees will leave with practical tools, improve contractor accountability, and verify compliance with MDOT and local standards.
ATTENDEES WILL RECEIVE A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION FOR 8 PDH/CEHs (Professional Development Hours / Continuing Education Hours).
