The success of any industry depends on having a pool of trained, professional employees readily available to enter the workforce. For over 30 years, the proceeds from the Memorial Scholarship golf outing have been dedicated to ensure the future of our industry by providing financial support to students at colleges and universities that provide training and education in concrete.
Established in 1991, more than $125,000 has been raised to purchase classroom textbooks, testing equipment and fund academic scholarships. Since 2018, the funds have been used to reimburse students at Eastern Michigan University, Western Michigan University, Lawrence Technological University and Alpena Community College 50% of the registration cost for students passing the MCA/ACI Level I certification.
This year's outing will be held June 23rd at Eagle Eye Golf Club. In 2017 Golf Advisor rated Eagle Eye #5 in the nation. In 2014 Golf Digest magazine rated Eagle Eye as the 5th best public course in Michigan.
Not only will you enjoy a great day of golf, you will be competing for various team and individual prizes including lowest score, longest putt, longest drive and closest to the pin.
Already have a team in mind for the scramble? Just complete the registration form (which you can download below) and return it to the MCA office by the June 9th deadline.
Don’t have a team? We will be happy to place you on a team looking for an additional player.
Registration fees include: continental breakfast, lunch at the turn, dinner, complimentary beverages, practice range balls for all participants, 18 hole green fees, golf cart, and prizes.
Not a golfer? Consider joining us for dinner and a good time!
