ACI Flatwork Finisher Certification is a requirement of:
Don't get left behind...
Already a specification requirement for numerous "big box stores", ACI 301-05, "Standard Specifications for Structural Concrete" includes the following language in Section 5.3.4.1:
"Unless otherwise permitted, a minimum of one finisher or finishing supervisor shall be a certified ACI Flatwork Concrete Finisher/Technician or a certified ACI Flatwork Technician as defined in ACI CP-10 or equivalent."
In addition, the Michigan Concrete Association (MCA) Six Star Driveway Program, MCA Decorative Concrete Certification and Pervious Concrete Certification all require that finishers be ACI Flatwork Certified.
Given the demand for having certified finishers, there is no better time then now to register for an upcoming class.
Training
The Flatwork Finisher Certification program was designed to certify experienced concrete finishers and upgrade the quality of concrete construction. Certification consists of passing a 50 question written exam and providing documentation of at least 4,500 hours of finishing experience. Finishers with less than 4,500 hours and passing the exam will qualify as "Flatwork Technicians".
