Since the first Michigan-based certification course in 1977, additional programs were added to meet the growing demands of having certified professionals design, place, finish, and test concrete.
Today, the MCA offers seven certification programs including:
Since 1977, the success of the certification program has been, in large part, dependent upon the countless “volunteers” who have served as instructors, proctors and examiners. It is not only their time but the companies that allow them the time and opportunity to participate. To each and every one, we say thank you!
Whether we’re training a testing technician or the next generation of flatwork finishers, decorative concrete finishers or pervious concrete finishers, we rely on concrete being delivered to the training facility. To that end, the MCA would like to acknowledge the following member companies for their generous concrete donations over the past year:
For many years the MCA published a hard copy of the certification directory for distribution. An online directory will now serve as the reference guide for the various technicians certified in the state of Michigan. The benefit is a real-time list of all certified technicians updated after each class as opposed to an annual directory publication.
Although great care has been taken in producing the directory, we do not claim that it is complete or free from errors. Should the user notice an error in our records, we would appreciate their timely notification.
